Bi Luo Chun literally means “green snail spring”. Although this tea has the name Bi Luo Chun, it is made using different materials from highland plantations in Fujian Province; the name comes from its similar appearance, small spiral shapes like snails. This extraordinary and very rare scented tea has a lovely jasmine fragrance to it, a result of meticulous scenting with jasmine blossoms.
This beautifully scented tea was blended by using the unopened jasmine buds from Heng Xian, Guangxi province, which is known to be the largest and finest jasmine flower producer. The unopened jasmine buds are picked in the late morning in June and kept cool before evening and then are spread over the green tea Bi Luo Chun that was harvested in April/May. In the evening the jasmine buds open and the dried green tea absorbs the scent. This process can be repeated using fresh unopened jasmine each time until desired scent is reached. Finally the jasmine flowers were picked out by hand leaving a few for decoration.
Being one of our best sellers, this tea definitely calms both mind and body while soft fragrance of jasmine fills the air. It has special fresh prolonged jasmine aroma and delicious mellow taste.
